This is a brand new club starting. This means we do not have a place to meet, or a date and time to setup for meetings, nor
how often anyone would like to meet. We don't have any events lined up, such as a movie trip to Chicago to see limited release
anime movies. We don't have any fundraising plans to help our community for all things otaku from anime to pockii to manga.
We don't have any members, but you can help with that. Any ideas you may have will be appreciated and will be incorporated
into the formation of this club. This club is as much yours as it is anyone elses. Any member has a say. The only thing we
are starting with is an interim name, and an interim organizational layout.
Membership is free for all. Donations are accepted, and recommended to use towards two events. A New Years Party and an
event to be determined later, lets start small and work our way up. No need for anyone to feel overwhelmed.
Activities, other than fundraising for charities and raising money to have a couple events. Some good acivities might include
a Japanese Culture Fest, Contests for some goodies involving the artists, writers and cosplayers, random drawings for anyone
to participate in. Education would provide us with some variety. Like learning some Japanese, Japense History, trying a new
Japanese dish... Anything to explore the culture that gave birth to the phenomenon that spawned from it.

Location, location, location. If we can locae a place that would allow us for viewing and meeting purposes for a few hours
and allow some food and drink, it would make things easier than trekking through each other houses. If we can find a library
or educational institute that is willing to let us utilize a room, we would benefit from some of the dvd studios screener
and goodies programs. ADV has one, but you have to be supported by a library or educational institute.
For viewing, no matter what we should all vote on what we wish to see, probably on an alternating basis. Where we do a movie
one meeting, one volume of a show the next. We may want to set aside time to dicuss random topics, from the anime we've caught
wind of, the newest manga we have read, or the newest Japanese food we have tried. We should not feel limited to any one topic
other regular club functions which should only take up a short amount of time unless there is an important topic we should
discuss, such as a fundraising activity like Toys for Tots campaign during Christmas, something big happened in the industry,
or real world events. This should not become a political forum though, this is to meet other people and help enrich our community
and enjoy some Anime and Manga. It would be good if we met every week, but some schedules may conflict so every other week
might be something to consider.
